Sunday Morning Coffee // 04.06.2014

Sunday Morning Coffee is the place where I sit down with a big cup o' joe and recap the past week's events - from my favourite posts of the week, to the happenings here at t.o. & fro, and even share my "Eco-Tip of the Week" to encourage you to live a more responsible and sustainable lifestyle. So please, grab your Sunday morning poison and join me...

Spring is official here! The rising sun is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning, the birds are singing happy songs, rain has replaced snow and my faithful winter boots have been tucked away in a safe place in the closet. The next step is to be able to wear that cute spring jacket I just bought.

Spring also brings the end of the hockey season. Playoffs have begun. This season flew by faster than I wanted it to and I feel I really didn't get the chance to enjoy it as much as I have in the past. It's crazy to think that in a matter of weeks (I'm trying to be optimistic here), hockey could be over and the "summer" officially started, forcing us to move out of our tiny 42nd floor abode that we've grown comfortable with, and into the jaws of the [2nd] most expensive city in Canada. I must apologize in advance to my bank account.

This Week I:

To Be More Responsible:
It's been 3 months since I started this little series, so I figured it was time for a recap of past eco-tips:

01.  Heating your home
02.  Plastic, paper or reusable?
03.  Reusable water bottles
04.  Eat seasonally
05.  Saying no to palm oil
06.  Litterless lunches
07.  DIY green cleaning products
08.  Climate change and the food supply
09.  Peak energy times
10.  Water
11.  Earth Hour

If you have a good tip for greening your life, or even a photo of your living a more sustainable lifestyle, I'd love to hear about it and even feature it as my "eco-tip of the week" during Sunday Morning Coffee! Please leave a comment below or email me at toandfro21@gmail.com with your tips and photos.

Have a good week!
