Let me just throw it out there - life with an infant is exhausting. Amazing, but exhausting.
When you have a tiny human to look after, your priorities change. Sleeping, exercising, showering, even getting dressed for the day, just don't seem to matter when you have a child that is constantly on the go. For me, eating a healthy breakfast also gets pushed to the back burner, and often falls into the category of "things that can wait until baby's first nap".
I know, I know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And as exhausting as caring for a child can be, it is as important to take care of yourself as well. That's why when making breakfast, I opt for recipes that can either be made ahead of time and scarfed down (such as this, this and this) or a recipe that is going to pack a punch in one serving. I'm talking several servings of fruit, vegetables and even protein. Every meal must count because often times, I never know how long I'll be going between those meals. Like I said, priorities.
