Toronto's Christmas Market

To help start December full of cheer, this weekend we took a trip to the Toronto Christmas Market, located in the beautiful Distillery Historic District. Inspired by the Old World and influenced by the New, this free annual event captures all of the tradition, heritage and charm of a European Christmas Market. These markets originated in Germany, beginning in the early 1400′s, and are now being held in countries all over the world. Toronto's market showcased unique and local handcrafted products and family-friendly entertainment,  and was complete with mulled wine, cider and whisky and scotch samples! Not to mention, the Distillery District is gorgeous, especially this time of the year.

Hours: Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 15 (hours vary, check website)
Admission: FREE!

Have you ever been to a Christmas market?
